Hello aspirant!

Yes, you can do post graduation in journalism. The eligibility condition is that the candidate must possess a UG degree, be it from any stream and any course. So even though your marks in BSc is not so good, since you have completed your UG successfully, you are eligible for PG in journalism.

The admission criteria varies from institution to institution. Some institutions give direct admission based on merit whereas some have their own entrance exam which the applying candidates need to qualify and based on the merit in the entrance exam, admission will be given.

You can pursue PGD in journalism, MA in multimedia, MA in mass communication, MA in journalism and communication, MSc in television and film production. The fee depends on the course, and can vary from 50,000 to even 2 lakhs per annum. You have good career options too after completing PG in journalism. SOme good institutions are Delhi School of Communication, Gujrat School of University, Asian COllege of journalism etc.

Hi sanghamitra, you can definitely pursue post graduation in journalism after your Bsc. The minimum requirement is that you should have at least 50%. You can easily pursue masters in journalism or mass communication in order to attain your motive. Below are some of the specialization of courses which you can select during your post graduation in journalism-

Investigative Journalism

Newspaper Journalism

Science Journalism

Financial Journalism

Web Journalism

The bachelor degree should be from mass communication/media communications/ journalism if you want to do masters in journalism or a graduate (who has a flair for writing) from any other field can also pursue. In addition to that, Journalism is for people who are ready to explore various opportunities 24*7 and do not surround themselves with geographical boundaries.

Hope this helps.
