Can I do proofreading as a freelancer?? Does it only include correction of the given data?

Proof Reading refers to a final checkout on the written data for it gets published or is sent to another person.
The work of a proofreader involves various steps such as- looking for punctuation and grammatical errors, correcting the the passive and active nature of the tone, using the correct application of first person and third person, are some of them.
