From your profile it seems  you're an art aspirant in class 11th, see there is no such restriction of belonging to specific stream of graduation when it comes to appearing for UPSC Civil Service Exam, you just need to pass bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university, and attain 21 years as on 1st August of the appearing year, having humanities stream at 10+2 or graduation level only help in the sense that there is considerable overlap with general studies and optional syllabus, and psychology is also there as an optional subject, now if you intend to give UPSC in last year of graduation or after it then you have to accordingly make the preparation beforehand, as this exam is highly competitive and has got such extensive syllabus as once you get into college, the studies too become essential to deal with, a proper and well planned time table will help you regarding this, like from the first year itself start off the preparation in gradual manner such as being acquainted with the syllabus, reading newspapers on a daily basis, start off with NCERT then move towards the standard books, go through previous year paper, apply mock tests on regular basis, also start answer writing in advance, you can find many topper answer sheets readily available in the Internet, you can refer those, it will help you a lot, but UPSC is still long time to go, you should focus on your studies right now, do well in it and as I said once you get into college, start the preparation in gradual yet consistent way.

So, I am guessing that whether you can study or prepare for UPSC civil services examination or not alone with your degree in psychology.

Yes, you can definitely  prepare for UPSC or can ecen take coaching for it along with your degree in psychology but you will be eligible for UPSC only in your final year of degree or after completing your degree / graduation

------) Discipline is the key to crack UPSC, so you need to make a routine/ time table and follow it .

------)Read newspaper like the Hindu or Indian Express  and magazines like Yojana, Kurukshetra, Economic and Political Weekly  to keep yourself updated with the current events and issues.

------) take short breaks in between your studies, studying continuously can be brain tiring and it becomes difficult to focus and study with concentration, so take breaks to relax and refresh your brain otherwise you won't be able to retain whatever you read.

------)Choose your optional subject wisely , choose the subject you have interest in.
