of course, if you wish to take drop you can but taking drop will be like a drop point in your career graph until you will not dig out its wroth of it, and on another side taking a risk with the passion to achieve your dream is also important,
+ first of all, analyze yourself thoroughly like by asking this question,
* why I want to become a doctor?
* can I study for long hours?
* will I have patience in learning medical until i reach the age of 28, while my friends might earning lakhs at that age?

+ in my view first of all if you in 12th try to focus on your 12th syllabus because half your syllabus is from 12th.

yes you can take a drop for NEET after class 12th this helps you work up on the lost time & build up your concept .
this one year will only be helpful if you prepare with dedication & really want to clear NEET because drop year can get pretty frustrating & depressing
