Dear Student,

you can take pursue BSc. without taking Mathematics as a subject, you will probably not be able to take subjects such as BSc. in  CS, IT, Physics, Chemistry but you can do other subjects related to the fields of Biology, Fashion Design, Interior Design etc.

Hii!
The eligibility criteria at most of the Universities across India for BCS course states that the candidate must have passed class 12th with minimum 45-50% marks and maths as a compulsory subject from a recognised board of education. So yes. Maths is important and it is essential part to study bcs too.
But, some places give you admission into bcs without maths, but then, you cannot go any further with that course, that is, you can't go for higher studies such as MCS etc., As you didn't have maths in class 12th. So, yes. Maths is important.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
