Can i enjoy clg.life in mvit collage in bangalore ece branch as this collage is 23km far from main city, is it vry hard to travel to city
Hi There !
SIRMVIT has the biggest campus in Bangalore.Campus -
-For one you will never feel cooped up.
-There are loads of open spaces with full sized football and cricket grounds and courts for other games like tennis, volleyball etc.
-Hostels are big and spacious, although you will not be allotted a single room.
-There is an indoor badminton court (1 wood and 1 stone) with a gym on top and carrom and chess and table tennis areas attached.
-Its a little far from the main Bangalore City but i feel that is actually a blessing in disguise. Anyways you do have good BMTC and Airport Cabs connectivity.
-One BMTC bus 283A i believe actually passes through the campus goes till Market.
There are hotels all around with all types of major cuisines and reasonable rates to help you out when you get bored of mess food. (namely Bhagwati, Raja Ram, Sher-e-punjab, Ambresh, GV etc…) and yes there is some unofficial deliveries to hostels as late at 2am ;)
There is a CCD closeby, also Bhagini and a Decathlon !
Due to close proximity to Yelahanka Airforce Base you get to watch Aero India show for free. All world class fighter jet air crafts assemble there and the show lasts a week. It is so good that from Boys Hostel terrace you can actually see the pilot sitting in the cockpit waving to you as he flies circles over you.
Clubs -
MVIT has established clubs like GAP (theatre, they do a production every year) . LEO (debates and public speaking) along with a jam room and innumerable tech groups.
Nearby Attractions -
NH7 weekender Bangalore venue is closeby, also many World Famous DJs come to perform in nearby locations.
Nandi Hills and Skandagiri is always closeby for an early morning ride or a trek respectively!
Placements -
There is a saying in MVIT and it goes like this ::
“agar MVIT me ho to placement pacca hai,
agar placement nhi chahiye to mehnat karni padegi”
Translation : If you’re studying in MVIT you will definitely land a job, in fact you have to work hard for not getting a job.
Placement officer Mr Khan is the most sought after guy in Bangalore. There was a rumor once that MSRIT tried to poach him but our trustees out bid them.
Although the majority of placements are in IT companies only, irrespective of branch so keep that in mind. Very few core companies (non IT) visit and they take the best of the best only.
Fests -
Every department has there own fests.
Apart from that there is an intra-collegiate fest (all branches) as well as the inter-college fest.
There are both technical and cultural events and you can choose what to participate in.
