Hi kavitha

Based on the previous year cut off marks you will be required the following marks to get a seat in Govt medical colleges in Tamilnadu.

  • 453 to 599 marks will be required for all India quota.
  • 593 to 655 marks will be required for the state quota.
So 400 marks are low. You can try dental or private colleges and every year cut off marks will vary.

All the best.

Hello,

Sorry to say this but you have almost no chance of getting a government medical college with this score.

You may have chance of getting private colleges under state level quota. It would be difficult to tell your exact chances as cutoff varies from year to year depending on various factors such as your home state, category, etc

You can use neet college predictor here :

I hope this helps.

Hello Kavitha,

As per your query about the marks to get admission in good colleges of Tamil Nadu, I would like to inform you that it will vary every year based on the difficulty level of ques paper and number of students scoring that mark

It also depends on whether you are looking for a government or private college.

Also, you targetting seat through ALL INDIA QUOTA 15 %or State quota 85 % also on categories like OPEN, SC, ST, OBC, etc.

But going by previous years trend, I would say for a general category candidate to get government college through state quota marks target should be around 550-600.

Good luck!

Dear Sir/Ma'm, with a score of 400, you can not expect any government college for MBBS in Tamil Nadu as in the state quota counselling the minimum cutoff itself is around 590 which is pretty high. In the all india counselling, there is no reservation for OBCs in any government medical college of TAmil Nadu.
