Hi,

550 is a really good score. You can bag a good govt seat in Medical college. For now wait for the result and once you get your ranking you can get sure of as what college you will get. With this score your state ranking should be good. Don't worry much. This is a nice score.

Dear Kurian, you haven't mentioned your Category. Necerthless in 2018 under All India Quota, the cut offs for various Categories for Karnataka have been as follows:



General Category: 542

OBC: 541

SC: 422

ST: 403



For Tamilnadu:



General Category: 453

OBC: 543

SC: 417

ST: 401



Having said that, cut offs change every year and are dependant on various factors like no.of seats available, no.of candidates appearing for the exam, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. You can also check the cut offs of various different colleges under your category at:

I must tell you that 550 is A good score and congratulations for your hard work being paid off.

Looking at the past statistical data,  I would like to tell you that there are very good chances that you'll grab a MBBS seat in A government Medical college under 15% AIQ.

Also,  depending upon the state you belong to,  chances of getting a good college increase further.
