Yes, however besides completing your coursework seriously and keeping a good CGPA you should also have developed good skills in modern technologies like Data Science, Mangement, Software and AI so that besides Core you can also appear for the Non Core Companies like TCS, PwC, Infosys, Cognizant, Accenture and so on.

As far as Civil at IIEST is concerned, Core prospects are bleak. You do have few recruiters like Tata Projects, Bridge&Roof, L&T and Berger Paints coming every year and offering package ranging from 4-8 LPA. However you should also keep up with preparation for GATE and IES Exam.
