You haven't mentioned your Category. Different Categories have different cut offs. Cut offs change every year depending on various factors such as no.of Candidates appearing for the exam, no.of Candidates qualified, top NEET score and difficulty of the exam. This is an important factor to know because usually AIIMS conducts its admission on the basis of its own entrance exam and for the first time, it will be conducting admissions through NEET score. There are stark differences between AIIMS and NEET admission procedures. AIIMS exam is held for 200 marks and the results are announced in the form of percentiles while NEET is held for 720 marks and the results are released in the form of marks. Now AIIMS also has GQ section while NEET focuses only on Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Considering these factors, the final cut off percentiles for AIIMS is usually above 95 and for General Category, it is 98 percentile and above. Now 98 percentile roughly converted for a score of 720 usually comes upto 650 and above. And to add on, AIIMS will conduct its counselling through All India Counselling. Without AIIMS being included, in 2019, the top NEET score was 701. With AIIMS being included, the top scorers get to choose from AIIMS, JPMER, AFMC, MAMC, VMMC, etc. Which means the greater the score, better the chances of seat in AIIMS for you. Now to be honest, AIIMS has approximately 1500 seats from all branches and not all branches are in as demand as AIIMS New Delhi. So with a score of 620, you might still get a seat in AIIMS, but not a New Delhi branch. This will further add in your favour if you belong to Reserved Categories.
Dear,
Their are so many factors on which, it depends :-
Ques paper level :-If same pattern followed by NTA, then cuttoff will cross 610+. But if ques paper level increases, then it will decrease to 560+.
Every year aprox 2L more students appearing for NEET & gov. medical seats are not increasing simultaneously, so cuttoff will increase next year too.
In my view, In NEET-2020, similar pattern ques.(as in Neet-2019) will come (max. from NCERT ),so safe score will be 660+. But, anything can happen, as Neet exam is totally unpredictable. At, 620 you can get any govermenment college. But you if want to get AIIMS NewDelhi / MAMC/ JIPMER then 660 + is a safe score if previous year trend is being followed . Specially, if you want to get AIIMS New Delhi ,then 680- 685 is a safe score.
Hope this helps!
