You can know about the NIT that you can get based on the cutoffs released by the respective NITs for different categories. If you are a student of general category, then it is difficult to get NIT with 60 marks. But if you belong to other categories than general category then there is some possibility of getting an NIT. The NTA will soon realease the cutoff as well as ranks for all categories. Then you can compare the opening and closing ranks of all the NITs for different branches and compare them with your own rank. THere is also a quota for home state, that is the state from which you gave your class 12 exams, in that state's NIT college you will have a higher chance of getting admission in NIT.
Till the time the ranks and cutoff are not officially released, you can check the probability of getting college by looking at previous years cutoffs for various colleges or by using career360 college predictor tool by using the following link:
