MHT-CET is common entrance test examination which is conducted by the Government of Maharashtra for admission in various under graduate programs all over the Maharashtra state.

It is conducted by Directorate of Technical Education (DTE) which is conducted once over a period of a year.

The degree courses for which MHT-CET is taken are:

1- Engineering

2- Pharmacy

3- Law etc.

In Engineering, you can take admission in Government, Government- aided and private colleges all across Maharashtra state except IIT and NIT i.e. IIT Bombay, VNIT Nagpur.

However there are some colleges in Maharashtra which also allows JEE Mains score along with MHT-CET.
