It is mandatory for candidates to have at least five subjects in class XII or equivalent examination to be considered eligible for JEE Main 2019. The five subjects for B.Tech/ B.E. according to CBSE are: Language.
Candidates are required to score minimum 75% aggregate marks or fall in top 20 percentile of their respective state board.
SUBJECTS Required

1) Language
2) Physics (compulsory for B.Arch.)
3) Mathematics (compulsory for B.Tech & B.Arch. both)
4) Chemistry, Biology, Biotechnology, Technical Vocational Subject (Any one of them)
5) Any other subject
Candidates who have appeared for four subjects in their qualifying exam will not be allowed to appear in JEE Main exam. They must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects and Chemistry, Bio-technology, Computer Science or Biology as one of the optional subjects in their qualifying exam.
