wbjee is the entrance exam to admission in b.tech courses in different government and private colleges of west Bengal. so as you want to join in diploma engineering there is no need to appear in wbjee entrance. you can give jexpo which is conducts by west Bengal state council of technical and vocational education for polytechnic course admission.

With Out entrance you can't join in any college after intermediate. Every private college also keeps some screening test to intake candidates.

WBJEE is a state level entrance exam to to take admission in different Engineering branches.

Most probably answer is No. even you don't take WBJEE, you have to take other entrance or test to take an admission.
