Admissions into various colleges of Delhi University or DU. The cutoff percentage in Delhi University is very high and it gradually increases every year. The reason for this growing of cutoff every year is because of the marks scored by the students in CBSE board. This is no doubt one of the most difficult reason for many students to get into their dream Delhi university college.

Several Factors for this increment in cutoffs:

• CBSE marks
• High number of students scoring above 95% in their class 12th.
• Limited seats
• No entrance examination

So, these are the reasons that leads to difficulty in admissions. Since you have scored 91% in class 12th , see this is not enough to get into decent college of delhi university. You need to wait till third or forth cutoff list.

This year the cutoff for various courses in the Colleges of Delhi University was extremely high and the first cutoff for various good Colleges was even close to 100%.

For you to get admission in DU with 91% in economics seems somewhat dicey. The chances for getting Economics hons is very less but with this percentage you can try for BA programme and take economics as a subject with the other one.
