Hello dear.
This is going to be an honest answer to your question.
If you're aiming to be a good coder and in future, you want to consider yourself proud to be a CSE grad, Haldia Institute of Technology won't help you in anyway.
I'm a CSE grad of 2010-2014 batch presently working in TCS. The placement scenario of CSE is probably the best in this college but if you look at your learning curve at the end of 4 years of your engineering, you'll be highly dissatisfied.
Teachers are averagely qualified and the ones who are well qualified, lack the art of teaching. Right now, I feel that Algorithms was the most important part of the entire CS syllabus which was taught by the most qualified teacher in our department. But his lack of communication skill and inability to relate it to practical scenarios made most of the students lose interest in the subject.
Best of luck..
