Depends on which course you are applying for. For B.Tech, JEE marks are mandatory. Students who will qualify JEE Advanced, only they have chance to get shortlisted for II Kanpur B.Tech admissions. However, JEE is not important for those students who want to pursue M.Tech, management courses, designing courses, MA, M.Sc .
