Well Ashutosh you should know that vssut is a reputed college in Odisha which takes admission through Odisha counselling based on JEE mains rank. So in order to get a good branch you need to get good rank in JEE mains . For CSE around 40000 to 50000. For mechanical around 60000to 70000. So the rank which you are having you will not get mechanical engineering but you might get Manufacturing and materials branch (MME).

So with a rank of 273k its difficult for you to get admission into vssut with mechanical engineering branch.
As mechanical engineering is one of the core branches so it has high closing cutoff for the candidates to get admission.
The closing cutoff for mechanical engineering in vssut goes maximum upto 200k .
