FIRST YEAR ENGINEERING ADMISSION (BE) FOR THE ACADEMIC
YEAR 2018 – 2019
Centralized admission process will be conducted by Directorate of Technical
Education, Maharashtra State.
Eligibility :
Maharashtra State Candidates, Jammu & Kashmir Migrant
Candidates, All India Candidates (AI)
(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National
(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as
compulsory subjects along with one of the Chemistry or Biotechnology or Biology or
Technical or Vocational subjects, and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks,
in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability candidates belonging to
Maharashtra State only) in the above subjects taken together; and The Candidate should
have appeared in all the subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET
conducted by the Competent Authority.
AND
Should have obtained score in MHT-CET 2018 (PCM) or JEE (Main) 2018 Paper - I as the
case may be as per the required eligibility mentioned in the admission rules
OR
(ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at
least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability
candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only)
OR
(ii) Passed B.Sc. Degree from a Recognized University as defined by UGC. and obtained at
least 50 % marks (at least 45% marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons
with Disability candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) and passed XII standard
with Mathematics as a subject.
Type "A”: Maharashtra State :
Candidate Passing SSC (Std.X)/HSC (Std.XII) Examination or any other Equivalent
Examination from a Recognized School / College in Maharashtra State and Diploma
Examination / B. Sc Examination as specified in rule 2.1 from a Recognized Institution in
Maharashtra State. Candidate is Domiciled/Born in the State of Maharashtra.
Type "B”: Candidate/ Father or Mother is Maharashtra Domiciled:
Candidate and Candidate / Father or Mother of the candidate is domiciled in the State of
Maharashtra.
Type "C”: Sons and Daughters of Central Govt. / Govt. of India Undertaking
Employee :
Does not satisfy as Type -A and Type-B Candidate and Father/Mother of the candidate is
an employee of the Government of India or Government of India Undertaking who is
posted and reported to duty in Maharashtra State before the last date for submitting the
Application Form for Centralized Admission.
Type "D": Sons and Daughters of Maharashtra State/ Maharashtra State
Undertaking Employees:
Does not satisfy as Type –A, Type-B and Type-C Candidate and Father/ Mother of the
candidate is an employee of the Government of Maharashtra/ Government of
Maharashtra Undertaking. Such candidates are required to submit the proof of his/her
father/ mother being the employee of Government of Maharashtra/ Government of
Maharashtra Undertaking.
All India Candidature Candidates, Jammu and Kashmir
Migrant Candidature Candidates. -
(i) The Candidate should be an Indian National;
(ii) Passed HSC or its equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics as

Technical or Vocational subjects and obtained at least 50 % marks (at least 45 % marks,

zero positive score in JEE Main Paper I or the candidate should have appeared in all the
subjects in CET and should obtain non zero score in CET conducted by the Competent
Authority. However preference shall be given to the candidate obtaining non zero
positive score in JEE (Main) Paper I over the candidates who obtained non zero score in
CET.
Or
(ii) Passed Diploma in Engineering and Technology and obtained at least 50 % marks (at
least 45 % marks, in case of Backward class categories and Persons with Disability
candidates belonging to Maharashtra State only) ;
Seat Distribution :
• Seats available with Competent Authority for Centralized Admission Process (CAP)
Maharashtra State seats (Domiciled in Maharashtra only) (on the basis of score of
MHT-CET 2018) 65%
• All India seats on the basis of score of JEE Main 2018 15%
• Seats At institute level 20 %.
