Hey Soumili,

Yes no matter your stream you can get admission in St. Xavier Kolkata. You just need to fulfil there criteria as it differs from college to college. Mostly it requires good marks in literature. English or Hindi in which you want to pursue Mass Comm. You can also appear in DU integrated Journalism. It has entrance exam based admission

Best of luck

hey Soumili,

Yes, if you're from science stream then you can go for any undergraduate courses. The only requirement is that you need to fulfill their eligibility criteria as they are having a very limited seat and a huge number of candidates are applying for that course. The selection is on merit basis. You need to appear for an entrance test for mass communication and your admission will be on the basis of your board result and entrance test scores. The selection criteria are On the basis of the index calculated with the board marks in +2 level & Admission Test Marks.

Hope that helps

all the best

Hello ,

As your query is you want to take admission in Saint Xavier College of Kolkata in course of mass and communication and you belong to the stream of science background.

I would like to tell you that there is nothing to worry about yes of course you are eligible to take admission in the course of mass and communication even after belonging to the stream of science background.

Based on your background there will be a different cutoff or a concession in cut off for you as compared to those who belong to the eligibility of the system or maybe in some cases these courses are apart from the stream you have been belonging to.

So absolutely there is no chance that you won't get admission you will if you live in the cut off marks as per the requirement for your eligible to take admission there all you need to do is to contact with their admission cell and they will directly to the admission process in better ways.

I hope your query is solved.

Thank you.
