JEE advance is needed for UG and dual degree courses. The candidates have to score the published cut-off to apply for IIST.

Eligibility (MS Astronomy and Astrophysics)

1. The candidate have to hold a degree of BS/BE/equivalent with a strong background in Space Science or Physics or Mathematics. They should obtain minimum CGPA 2.00 out of 4.00 or 60% marks from HEC and PEC recognized Institute or University or any reputed foreign university.
2. The candidate have to crack GAT-A or GAT-C with 50% marks or GRE for applying in this field.

The Indian Institute of Space Science and Technology (IIST) does not conduct any Entrance Exam of their own. But they accept Entrance Exams like JEE Main, JEE Advance, GATE, JEST, UGC NET, etc,.
