Hello aspirant,

NEET is one of the toughest exam in India and getting admissions in top colleges with 390 marks is quite difficult even with state quota and reservation benefits. You can get the admissions in private colleges with these marks. But I suggest you to prepare hard and try to get the government colleges next year.

Thank you

To get admission through state quota will depend on several factors including the cut-off trends in your state if you want to get admission in government medical college then the cut-off marks for OBC candidates tend to be higher often exceeding 500 marks depending on the state

for admission in private college with 390 marks you are more likely to find opportunities especially for OBC reservation

hope you found this helpful feel free to ask any doubts

With 390 marks in NEET and belonging to the OBC category with state quota, your chances of getting admission depend on several factors:

1. **State Quota**: Under the state quota (85% of seats), the cutoff is generally lower compared to the All India Quota. Each state has different cutoffs for medical colleges, and being an OBC candidate can work in your favor as there are reserved seats.

2. **Competition & Cutoffs**: The cutoff marks vary each year based on the difficulty of the exam, the number of candidates, and the availability of seats. In some states, 390 marks may secure a seat in a private medical college or a less competitive government college, especially in rural areas. However, it might be difficult to get into top-tier government medical colleges.

3. **College Type**: You are more likely to get admission to a private or deemed university with 390 marks. Government medical colleges usually have higher cutoffs, especially in more competitive states like Delhi, Maharashtra, or Karnataka.

4. **Counseling**: Participate in state counseling, as cutoffs fluctuate during different rounds. Keep an eye on mop-up rounds where leftover seats may be available.

Your chances depend largely on your state’s cutoff trends, so reviewing previous years' cutoffs for your category and state can provide more insight.

hope this helps you!!

For mbbs from government medical college through state quota this number is not sufficient .You have to score atlest 430 plus to have a safe score  in obc category. For mbbs in some states and the rank even go higher for some states.

You should wait till the last counselling process participate in all rounds to get seat if there is any left in last stage.most candidates who are upgraded leave their seat in last round.

Hello,

Admission to medical colleges with 390 marks in NEET for an OBC category student under the state quota will depend on several factors, including:

  1. The cutoff in your state : Each state has a different cutoff for medical colleges under the state quota, and these can vary each year.
  2. Reservation category : Being an OBC candidate may provide some relaxation in the cutoff.
  3. Type of college : Government medical colleges generally have higher cutoffs compared to private colleges.
  4. Competition and seat availability : The number of students applying for the same seats can significantly impact the cutoff.

You should check the previous year's NEET cutoffs for your state (or the state where you intend to apply) under the OBC category for a better understanding. For states with relatively lower cutoffs, you might have a chance for admission to government or private medical colleges, particularly under the state quota.

Thankyou!
