Hello Ramiz.
It depends on which subject it is. You haven't mentioned for which subject you wrote compartment. But I guess (if you are science student) it must be either physics or math. So having 56% in compartment in any subject doesn't mean, your life is over. You have a lot of option which can take you to success.
1. Diploma. Instead of engineering, you can go for diploma in some course which interests you. You will have a great career option in technical field after diploma.
2. Private Engineering Colleges. There are lot of private colleges, which does keep faith in students and offer them the course which has some vacancy. But, in that case, You cant expect them, to give you CSE or IT dept. You might only get a lower group with less demand. But with skill, you can shine through any field. No dept. is waste or anything. Everything has some scope, the only thing is you need relevant skill to shine in it. (But in some low college you could get CSE or IT. But it would not be that worth).
3. BSc. You can take BSc in some subject that interests you and you can go further into Research field or you could be even a teacher (after B.Ed..). Doing MSc, can take you to real heights in your career. But you have to put in efforts to do even BSc. There are many college which gives good course even for students with compartment exam. But you might only get evening college (self Funded). And the fees must be quite high but less than engineering.
4. BA or psychology . If you feel math or physics is your major problem, and you cant read it again in college, then BA or psychology must be your option. It will be easy, and you can be a teacher after B.Ed., or even be a good psychologist, earning decently in a school or clinic respectively. It must be a easy course that you can finish in 3yrs and work in any of the above mentioned fields or even as a HR in some company.
But in any field, all you need is hard work and you have to determine, what is the most relevant field to you. This alone can get you success.
I hope I answered you.
Feel free to ask any doubts in the comments.
Good luck.
