Hi
Your profile suggest that your home state is Kerala and there is NIT Calicut in Kerala for which cutoff goes really high.
And under other state quota also, your chances of getting a seat in NIT with 150000 rank i. e 1.5 lakh rank is extremely low.
To get a seat in even lower nits you should have got a rank of at least around 45,000- 50,000 rank
For example,
Under other state quota , closing rank for some of the nits for which closing rank goes low are listed below along with their closing rank in the 6th round of josaa counselling 2020 for general category :-
National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh, biotechnology:- 46843
National Institute of Technology Sikkim, Civil Engineering :- 47412
National Institute of Technology, Andhra Pradesh, Metallurgical and Materials Engineering :- 47207
National Institute of Technology, Mizoram, Civil Engineering:- 49757
National Institute of Technology Agartala, Biotechnology and Biochemical Engineering :- 50,010
You can check the same at

From above, it is clear that you need at least a rank of around 45,000 - 50,000 to get into an NIT under other state quota. And to get a rank in this range, you need at atleast around 96 percentile as per our rank predictor at

hello aspirant,
As of now itstough to say because the analysis and also cutoffs change every year due to many factors like total students appearing for exam, difficulty level of paper etc.based on your rank and considering you from general category as you did not mention which category you belog to you have tough to no chances to fetch seat in nits, iiits.you need better percentile of 98+ to fetch seat in top nits, iiits.even in nit agartala the cutoff for other state goes to 50k.and you have rank around 150k.you can try in private engineering colleges using your jee percentile.workhard for the upcoming jeemain sessions..you can get closing rank for josaa official website: https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
