As per last year trends the cutoff for cap round 1 was rank 5456 (97.4808630) for GSC category and for cap round 2 it went till rank 7709 (96.4325804) for GSC category.
So the chances are a bit slim but you can try for the vacant seat rounds and if there are any vacant seat left you may get it or you could try some other branches.But there is a chance that the cutoffs may be different as it depends on a lot of other factors like vacant seats,difficulty of exams etc.
