Hey.

The cut off for admission under the government medical colleges in India under the All India quota for the SC category varies each year a lot. Theere is alot of difference in marks required in different states. In some states the cut off is really high and in some it's too low. The cut off is expected to change each year due to factors like level of difficulty level of competition etc. As score above 420-430 would be a safe score for admission in government college. But some states have even lower cut offs in All India quota and some have higher. So it would depend on which state you're seeking admission in.

So with a score of 400 you might have fair chances in states like Tamil Nadu under the all india quota.

Also the cut off in State quota will be a lot less. You youmight have fair chances under your state. Yoi can let me know yourstate for an accurate picture.

Best of luck.
