You have no chances to get NITs/IIITs at this rank but you can definitely apply for private colleges based your rank in states of orissa,gujarat,rajasthan,up,kolkata,maharashtra.....you can also try our college predictor http://www.careers360.com/college-predictor

Yes, you can try private universities but coming into IIT's/NIT's are not possible and as Shefali said go with her options. But take wise decision.
