Hello Student,
A rank of 175000 in CRL is a bit low of a rank. Due to the competition increasing by the minute everyday, the need for scoring higher marks and scores keep increasing more and more. Hence, unfortunately the top nits and IITs would be tough to get into with this score. Also other Centrally Funded Technical Institutes ( CFTIs) such as the IIITs also would be a bit tough. There might be some chances of you getting into newer NITs such as NIT Andhra Pradesh or NIT Pondicherry into courses that are relatively lesser in demand such as metallurgy.
However, since you have not mentioned that you belong to the any category, the chances of you getting into some some of these universities are a bit more if you belong to any. There are some other universities into which you have a good chance of getting into. Hence I would suggest you to apply for other universities. But due to the high competition it would be advisable to apply to other universities.
Some other good universities with this rank would be:
1. SSN College of Engineering, Chennai
2. SASTRA Deemed to be University, Thanjavur
3. Andhra University, Andhra Pradesh
4. Delhi University
5. Shiv Nadar University
6. VIT, Vellore
7. Manipal Institute of Technology
