Hello Aryan,

Yes,  Firstly i congratulate you on our score. Definitely you will get admission in top NITs with your rank. You can easily get CSE branch in top NIT college no dought in that. Go ahead and participate in counselling. As per the estimation cut off to get into NITs is 89.75488 for Common Rank List(CRL),  for GEN-EWS 78.2174,  for OBC-NCL 74.316, of SC 54.0128, for ST 44.3345, and for PWD 0.1137.

The actual cut off will be announced by the exam conducting authority NTA which may vary from the cut off which i given. But their will be slight difference.

Hope this helps you.

All the best!!!

Hello Aspirant,

According to the percentile you have mentioned in the question your expected rank would be near about 22,000 and on the basis of this rank it is little bit difficult to get top NITs until and unless either you belongs to any reservation category or you deserves Home State quota. Because cut-offs for top NITs are pretty higher than usual which you can check out from the link given below :-

https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-top-nits/amp

As per previous year's cut-offs you might be qualifying for JEE-Advance at this percentile so you should go for it because it can take you to IITs which are much better than NITs or any other engineering institutions. Note that cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors.

However I would recommend you to use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict the chances of admission in different colleges based upon your percentile :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

Hello Aryan,

Using the formula (100-NTA percentile score) X 869010/100, your rank is estimated to be around 22,594.  With this rank, you might be able to get admission in NIT depending upon your state and category too. However, if you wish to know more about the cutoffs in various NIT colleges, you can visit the following link: https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/nits-cutoff-for-top-btech-branches
