can i get any government college apart from NIT for mechanical engineering through jee mains with 89 percentile(general)?

First of all congratulations on scoring good marks in JEE. Yes definitely you can get a seat in your government colleges and beleive me some government colleges are better than NITs.

Hey!

As you have not mentioned your home state and your rank, so by previous years cut offs your rank would be around 10,000 and with this you cannot get NITs, but you can go for JEE advance. Also, you can apply for JOSSA counselling, and you wi be able to get admission in many government or deemed universities.
