can I get b.com honors in delhi university with 52 Mark's in maths and 96.4 percentile in 12th grade (general category)
Hey mate,
No, Maths is not mandatory in calculating the best of four. However, you must have studied maths in order to get B.Com(Hons.) in Delhi University.
I myself scored considerably less in Maths but when I went to seek admission in DU, I calculated the best of four, based on my other subjects which were English(mandatory), Accountancy, Business Studies and Economics.
The people there, only see if you have studied maths in twelfth, they are least interested in your score.
However, you cannot consider a practical subject while calculating your best of four.
Here are some cutoff-
92%+ for general category for low ranked colleges e.g. shyamlal college
97%+ for best 5 colleges e.g. srcc, hindu, hasraj
94-96 % for colleges ranked from 6th to 12th e.g. dyal singh,dcac
In best four subjects in which English is compulsory
non med students would require 3-5 % more as they are changing streams
For reserved category at 95%(obc) they'll get top 4 colleges like srcc hindu kmc hasnraj
cutoff for sc st pwd is even lower
for general category bcom hons cutoff starts from 95 % only in first list
i got dcac prev year at 95% in 5th list
dcac is in top ten colleges list
DU colleges are very good....life is amazing at du....exposure, opportunities galore
The cutoffs change every year .....they generally go up
A ll the best.
God bless you!
