As you have said that you are a BIpc student, so.. to get Biotechnology domain , you need to have maths as a subject in your 12th qualifying exam . This is the basic eligibility criteria for opting Biotechnology as a subject.You also need to secure minimum 50% aggregate in your 12th exam.

Well,as you haven't said your entrance exam name .. so as per your query , I'm assuming you have appeared for AP EAMCET and  as per your rank and in open category as you said , You may not get Biotechnology in AU but still you have good chances to get the following colleges with other domains ,

• Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering, Visakhapatnam(Robotics ,Chemical)
• Sree Vidyanikethan Engineering College, Tirupati(Mechanical,ECE)
