I would like to inform you that you can absoulutely get Civil Engineering in JGEC. As per previous year , i.e. in 2018 , the cutoff for Civil Engineering for Genereal Category was 8916 at the end of third round , so you might not get the desired branch in first round , be patient and just go for upcoming rounds.

You have secured a very good rank in WBJEE. But it seems difficult for your rank to get admission in Civil Engineering in JGEC. Based on the previous year WBJEE cut off ranks for JGEC, the opening rank for Civil Engineering in JGEC through WBJEE is 2450 and the closing rank is 6854 for general category. So try to get admission in some other good colleges.
