The admission to BAMS courses in India is mainly based on marks in NEET exam scores. The cutoff of a particular exam is determined by various factors such as the number of students appeared in the exam, the difficulty level of the exam, the seats available for various courses, etc.
Primarily there are 3 types of Colleges for BAMS courses:
1. Government - The cutoff of government colleges starts from 420+ for General Candidates and 400+ for OBC candidates. The fees of these colleges is lowest in range of 20000 or so.
2. Semi - Government - The cutoff for semi-government colleges is somewhat lower and lies around 400+ for General Candidate and 360+ for OBC candidates. The fees is higher than that of government institutes.
3. Private - Private colleges have a wide array of fees in range of 1–3 lakh per year. The cutoff for these colleges is in range of 300+ for General and 280+ for OBC candidates. You can also get admission for lower marks with donation or some management quota or Vacancy quota in these colleges.
Good luck!
