I am assuming you are from general category. Based on your overall academic profile, you will need to score atleast 99.4 percentile in CAT to get a call for the next round of FMS.
All the best!
Half the battle for colleges oher than IIM's which consider past a acdemic records is won if you score above 99%ile in your CAT (for General category). Focus on that since with a good percentile your chances of getting selected shoot up. So be prepared for the hard work.
While it is correct that most of the older IIMs frown upon aspirants with poor academic background, a lot of good MBA colleges like MDI, NITIE, IIM Calcutta, etc. primarily look at your CAT score. It is not that your MBA dream should be dead because of poor academic background. It is just that the task is going to be a little harder for you if you lack in passion.
Also not only focus on CAT but appear for various management exams like XAT, MAT, CMAT, NMAT etc..
The applications are ongoing for various management exams like CAT, XAT etc..
Work on your time management and preparation skills, look for quality study material than quantity material and also practice previous year papers and give tests to analyse your performance.
A systematic approach will definitely help you.
Good luck.
