no if you wanted to admission into srm university you need to be qulaify into SRMJEE exam on basic of that only you will get colleges.

Yes, you can get various colleges which come under SRMJEE just opt for JEE Mains counsellig as well if you are filling up the counselling form of SRMJEE.
