It is mandatory to have mathematics in your 10+2 class in order to get admission in Delhi University. Science courses definitely require mathematics as a main subject to get admission in DU. For commerce courses like BCom and BBA, Mathematics is required to answer the entrance exam called DU JAT. If you take admission with mathematics, you will have better choices to take admission in the colleges under DU.

Yes, you definitely can. There are courses that do no require maths as a subject, such as, B.Sc Chemistry, Biology, Zoology, Botany, Anthropology, BA programme, English hons, Pol sci hons, etc. But, it depends on the course you're seeking admission in. However, Many courses in the commerce field, economics Hons, BBA, BMS, BBE, etc, require maths as a subject in 10+2.
