The NITs are institutions that allot admissions based on the JEE Mains exam. This exam is ranked based on the 12th boards and JEE Mains exam. Here, the 12th maths exam is also taken into consideration. NIT Rourkela is also one of the NITs that has to follow the same university. Hence unfortunately, no. It is important to have taken maths in 12th standard to get into NIT Rourkela
