Look, it depends . First of all I need to know in which domain you have done diploma .Well, if you haven't yet completed your diploma i.e. haven't reached upto the completion year of diploma of your domain  , then you can't get job .You need to complete your diploma first.  Basically after diploma , from that college itself .. you may get opportunities to get job in several MNCs ,private sectors based on your college reputation and activity of placement cell.

As you have said that you have education gap of 1 year . So generally some companies may ask in application form to mention your education gap with reason , those who hires candidates through diploma academics . Education Gap upto 1 year is basically approvable for technical domains like Engineering (IT sectors) .

The standard marks in 10, 12th and Graduation/diploma matters your eligibility to sit for placements or off campus .

In gov sectors , you have good chances to get job after diploma .. specially if you are a polytechnic student . Some popular Govt exam that recruits diploma Engineering students are like SSC JE , RRB JE etc,

well you don't get job after completing of 1 year diploma,but you can get online internship from some websites or or as well as on the basis of completing class 12th you might get some jobs like call centre boy/girl, delivery boy, helping boy, but according to your diploma branch it is little bit tough to get job after completing 1st year.


you can try for online internship, or you can work as a freelancer.
