As per previous year trends, The closing rank for KGEC under WBJEE 2018 was at least above 4500 for any given course that too in the 3rd round. It seems highly unlikely.

However in the 4th round seats of mechanical Engineering closed at 5400 followed by I.T at 5200

so yes you can try till the 4th round you might have a chance

Getting kalyani government engineering college with this rank is very difficult. If you are lucky enough you may get civil or it with this rank in kgec. But you will get ee, ece in Jalpaiguri Government Engineering College in the 3rd round or mop up round or decentralized round
