GATE exam is not the entrance exam for MBA or other management course. Ideally you should appear for CAT to check your aptitude for the course. However there are colleges which can take direct admission.

Getting an admission in an MBA college without giving CAT or GATE is possible only if you have management quota or you can get it from some source. However, you won't be able to get into the top B schools.
