Hello Student
The competition is rising exponentially every year, on considering the counselling results of NEET 2019 there are chances that you will get a seat via the state quota but frankly it all depends in which state you live. Cutoffs of NEET 2019 varied dynamically among states as it was highest in New delhi and lowest in Goa. But on considering the fact that many aiims and jipmer is also included this year and students were not fully prepared for the exam there are chances that you will grab a seat in your state.
Overall 550 is a very nice score and i understand u have had worked very very hard so first requirement is to appreciate your efforts. And being a general category student if you belong to EWS category then your chances of getting a seat will get get way much higher as in most states(except New Delhi, and Uttar pardesh) cuttoff for Ews is 15-20 marks lower than that of general category.

Hey dear, cutoff varies year to year, if you see the last year's cutoff which went very high that even students scoring 500 marks found it hard to get a govt. Mbbs seat. 550 is a good score, being a general candidate you won't get a topnotch college in AI quota with this score but will get a good govt. Mbbs college in state quota for sure.
