can i get nit my st rank is 2500 in 2022 jee mains

Dear Student ,

Look, every year the cut off of any college can change due to various reasons like :

  • Seat Matrix
  • Difficulty level of exam
  • No of students appeared etc.

That's why it is difficult to predict any accurate cut off for any specific college.


Well, As per last year cut off details of JEE MAIN 2021 after 6th round of JoSAA counselling ..with your ST rank .. you have good chances to get some of  the following NITs :

  • Dr. B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar- Bio Technology-3392
  • Malaviya National Institute of Technology Jaipur-Metallurgical and Materials Engineering  -3006
  • Maulana Azad National Institute of Technology Bhopal- Chemical-2818 and others

With this rank it will be difficult to get high demanding branches like CSE, IT, ECE etc in top NITs or IIITs.

Cutoff keeps changing year to year. Keep in mind that your chances to grab a seat will vary on the following basis:

  • Number of seats available
  • Number of students applied for the same branch
  • Performance of the students
  • The category you belong to etc.
