Further a candidate having domicile from these 8 North Eastern States and 4 Union Territories - Assam, Arunachal Pradesh Manipur, Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, Tripura, Andaman & Nicobar Islands, Dadar & Nagar Haveli, Daman & Diu and Lakshadweep; are eligible.

Now for getting a seat at NITs or IIITs, your rank matters. Hope you have a suitable rank for these participating institutes.
