With an OBC-NCL category rank of 54,000 in JEE Mains, getting a seat in an NIT might be challenging, especially in popular branches like Computer Science or Electronics. However, you might still have a chance in the following scenarios:

1. Less Popular NITs : You could get branches in NITs that are not as sought after or are located in regions with fewer applicants.
   
   

2. Lower-Demand Branches : Branches like Civil Engineering, Metallurgy, or Mining Engineering may have lower cut-offs.
   
   

3. Spot Round/CSAB : Sometimes, seats remain vacant after the main counseling rounds, and you may have a better chance during the Spot Round or Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) counseling.
