Can I get placed as assistant professor after qualifying GATE AIR 65 in govt engineering college?
Congratulations for such an amazing rank. Since you are aiming for the job of an assistant professor you must get the Mtech degree from any IIT OR NIT as you have a nice rank. Later on prove and show your performance there and get good recommendation and it'll land you up in a nice Assistant professor job.
All the Best!
Hello,
If an engineering student has qualified the gate examination with such a good rank,he might be wishing to join any good PSU or if he wants to pursue his/her further studies he might be looking for an M.Tech from a top IIT.
So,if you want to be placed as an assitant professor, then it's your wish.
It really sounds weird to me!
So for the post of an assistant professor in a good government colleges like old IIT's,reputated old govt.universities, one needs to have an M.Tech degree/Phd research with evidence of published work and a minimum of 5 publications.
Should have a PHD degree with first class at Bachelor's or Master's degree in the appropriate branch of Engg.
He/She should have atleast 8-10 years of teaching experience in an academic/research position.
ThankYou!
Best Wishes Sir!

For getting placed as assistant professor in government engineering college you don't only need B.TECH degree. You should have M.tech degree from good college to be placed. Because a B.tech passed student can't teach B.tech students.
If you have M.tech degree then definitely you get placed or without M.tech you can get placed in private engineering college of north india.
