for jee advance math, physics and chemistry are most important . and in iits or any engineering colleges most of the subjects are the application of physics and mathematics. with out physics engineering cannot be think of. so dont skip physics..and what are you thinking of boys and girls ratio in iits.. its true that no of girls in iits are lower compare to the no of boys.. and iit dont take admission depending on gender basis. if you score well you will get admission unless not. so dont bother about gender ratio. for general category cutoff will be high AS compare to other category. so prepare well. hope it helps..
You can qualify for the advanced if you prepare well and properly. It totally depends on how you prepare for the exam.If you prepare Math well and chemistry them also you may qualify the mains and eligible for the advanced exam. But to score good marks in mains it is advisable to prepare physics also.In advanced candidate have to pass in all individual subjects. For clearing Jee advanced exam you have to prepare for physics well. The more marks you score, the Better and preferred IIT you will get.
