Yes you can get scholarships in private colleges.
Actually different colleges have different criteria for scholarships.
There are two type of scholarships :
* Merit based
*Income based
So in whichever college you want to take admission check their prospectus first that if it has scholarship available or not.
Also as your income is below 8 lakhs you belong to economically weaker section category.
So you can apply on income based scholarship.
