The admission process is done on the basis of your JEE MAINS AIR (All India Ranks).

AIR is calculated by your JEE MAINS marks and also by your marks in the plus twos whereas in some states it is calculated only on the basis of your JEE marks.

For General category students, you need to have your AIR below the given figures for the given branches.

Mechanical-13k

EC - 13k

Chemical- 20k

Civil- 24k

Electrical -16k.

NIT Surat is one of the top most NIT. Score varies almost every year and differs from one branch to another, Considering general category, 235+ score is enough to admit in NIT Surat.
