This free eBook covers JEE Main important chapters & topics to study just 40% of the syllabus and score up to 100% marks in the examination.
Hiiii Prerit,
As per your Jee Mains percentile which is 89.99, your All India rank in general category will be approximately 90,000. Your Other Backward Castes (OBC) rank will be close to 27000.
The cut-offs for various branches in Visvesvaraya National Institute of Technology, Nagpur is very high as compared to your JEE Mains rank. There is no chance for you to make it to any branch of VNIT in the first seven rounds of counselling.
However, there is a slight chance that you can make it to Mining Engineering in the special rounds if you have a home state quota of Maharashtra. There are two special rounds conducted by Central Seat Allocation Board (CSAB) just after the completion of normal rounds of counselling. The cut off for mining engineering in the special round under home state quota went around 75000 All India Rank for the Other Backward Caste(OBC) category.
Anyway, you have one more attempt left to secure a better rank in JEE Mains. A minimum increase of 30-40 marks in the second attempt of JEE Mains will surely help you to secure an OBC rank that will help you to make it into VNIT, Nagpur comfortably. I hope that in this interval between the two attempts, you must have studied a lot. So, I guess with little more effort you will be easily making it into your desired college.
I hope the above information was useful. For any other query, feel free to contact anytime.
Thank You and All the Best.
